About a 30 minute drive from LA’s west side, Dodger Stadium is not only an amazing ball park to catch a game, but it’s also an amazing vantage point from which you can see all of the East Side of LA.
Here are a few snapshots from our evening as well as a little vlog I made of the day. And don’t worry, we beat the NY Mets that night 7:4 🙂
Hi you all!!!
Exciting news ~ I am engaged! Jeff proposed to me last Saturday the 19th in front of family and friends at the Rose Gardens at the Los Angeles Museum of Natural History. It was the perfect setting and the perfect evening. Loee and Joel captured the entire event and we have posted some of the photos and linked the video down below. We wanted to share a piece of our story as we want to start using this space as a little Bridal Blog. Every once in a while we would love to share with you all what it’s like to plan a wedding in LA.
Here is our quick little story of the day…
First, Jeff took me out to Bestia in the up and coming Art’s District downtown. It is a fabulous Italian fusion restaurant they built out of an old warehouse space. We sat at the Pizza bar and sampled some incredible salads and flatbreads. Before ending the meal we shared the most amazing chocolate torte as a little pre-birthday treat 🙂
The sun was setting and to “kill some time” before checking out a “donut place by USC” Jeff suggested we stroll the Rose gardens. Little did I know that our families were waiting there for us.
Jeff was all conversation as we walked up to the gardens and I could tell he was behaving a little differently. He would not stop talking and kept trying to distract me from looking too far into the gardens. Eventually we turned and I saw this..
A little Happy Birthday song to start off the proposal…
All of the nicest things…
My favorite gift ever ever ever…
After some tears and congratulations and a mini family photo session, Jeff suggested we stop by our Pastor’s house to show them the ring. We all caravanned back towards ours and were welcomed by some 40 of our closest friends for the most amazing surprise engagement / birthday party ever.
I cannot thank everyone enough for all that you have done to nurture our relationship and to our family and friends that flew, drove, and joined us for this casual Saturday evening 🙂 Hope you all enjoyed a glimpse inside our special day! Check out the video below:

Since moving to Los Angeles we haven’t been able to travel home for Thanksgiving with our families, so we celebrate Friendsgiving. Each year we have our friends who can’t travel home for the holiday over L’s house and we cook dinner with all the fixin’s. Check out the video below and see how we spent our Thanksgiving together.
